Development in personalized medical treatment, in which the choice of treatment and dosage can be customized for patient to ensure optimal effectiveness while minimizing any adverse effects. One of these technologies is a radiation field effect transistor NURFET (PMOS), which is originally developed in NRDC for healthcare applications. It is now possible to place a device either on the body, or as an implant e.g. within a tumor, to ensure that the actual radiation dosage received at the target siteis the appropriate dosage for optimal therapy for the patents.

The technology presented here provides a small, light-weight, low-cost, real-time dosimeter suitable for use in a number of applications from radiotherapy dosimetry to nuclear waste storage monitoring to personnel radiation monitoring.
