NÜRDAM Micro/Nano Semiconductor Technology Fabrication Course

The course is run in NÜRDAM central laboratory located at Abant İzzet Baysal University Golkoy campus. The laboratory is fully equipped such as photolithography, dry etching, LPCVD, diffusion furnace to fabricate devices. Fabricated devices also will be characterized by modern high-tech devices and results analyzed with participants to educated them perfectly. Considering participant test score sample devices are given them to take away at the end of the course.

Eğitimler Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Gölköy kampüsünde bulunan NÜRDAM merkezi laboratuvarında verilecektir. Fotolitografi, ıslak ve kuru aşındırma sistemleri, plazma CVD, difüzyon fırınları, ısısal işlem cihazları gibi mikro/nano sistemlerin üretimi için gerekli bütün teçhizatı tek başına laboratuvar bünyesinde barındıran NÜRDAM bu yönleriyle ülkemizde tek olmaktadır.

Üretilen cihazlar yine NÜRDAM ve bünyesinde bulunan cihazlar kullanılarak performans analizleri yapılacak ve teknolojik uygunlukları belirlenecektir. Program sonunda üretilen ve değerlendirmesi yapılan cihazlar katılımcıların başarı durumları göz önüne alınılarak, hediye amaçlı verilecektir.

• The course will be unique experience for young participants starting a career in the semiconductor industry.
• Lecture courses are given in this field by some universities in Europe but very few of them offering to participant hands-on processing experience.
• The course would also be very useful to more experienced engineers working on photonics systems or devices but who have not had any exposure to device process technology.
• The course will be of enormous benefit to academicians, PhD and MSc students who want to study on the semiconductor technologies.

We are still living in semiconductor-based micro/nano technology ages. Therefore, learning device fabrication and characterization have crucial part to study about improvement of their performance. I believe that this course will be great start for people working with semiconducting materials and encourage them to change fields.
