The Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University Nuclear Radiation Detectors Application and Research Center (NÜRDAM) organized its first scientific congress in the field of sensors, detectors, and materials science. Under the auspices of our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alişarlı and chaired by Prof. Dr. Cabir Terzioğlu from the Department of Physics at our university's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the International Conference on Sensor, Detector, Materials Science, and Technologies (SensDeTech) was held at our university from October 5-7, 2023.

The conference, which started with an opening program at the İzzet Baysal Culture Center Blue Hall, featured contributions from academics from METU, Erciyes, Aksaray, Istanbul, Uludağ, Karabük, Kastamonu, Istanbul Cerrahpaşa, Çukurova, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Bartın Universities, as well as international universities. The opening was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Coşkun Karaca, General Secretary İhsan Ağcan, national and international academics and researchers, teachers, and students.

During the congress, invited speakers included Prof. Dr. Atsuhiko Ochi from Kobe University, Dr. Mihai Irimia-Vladu from Johannes Kepler University, Prof. Dr. Ali Gencer from Ankara University, Dr. Andre Filipe Cortez from Czech Technical University, and Prof. Dr. Suat Özkorucuklu from Istanbul University.
